Bernadette Janson Asks: How Can Renovating Solve Your Problems With Money?

An excellent way to make money renovating and building your wealth while also making a good return on your investments is to finance.

Are you a woman with an incredible flair for home renovations? Do you have a natural instinct for creating beautiful living spaces? Do you have the drive to take your hobby to the next level and solve your money problems with a home renovations business?

The truth is most people who dabble in home renovations fail. The reason is that their plans are not grounded in reality. In order to succeed you have to get real about what is really important.

Home Renovations Business Strategy: Make Money Renovating

You can replace your current salary or ensure a regular income during retirement with home renovations. But, it is a big leap to go from where you are to where you want to be. When you choose to make a living from renovations you need to have a well thought out business strategy in place to secure your success.

To really make money renovating, your hobby needs to run like a business. It is fun to make things pretty, and immerse yourself in the styling, choosing tiles, paint and finishes. While being a Facebook DIY renovator is exciting and rewarding, you have to get real about what is important. There are certain fundamentals you should have in place.

How I Discovered The Fundamentals Of Making A Living From Home Renovations

I was twenty years into my home renovation business when I realised that I was on a path to nowhere. Yes, I was loving the renovations and I was making some money. I was doing okay, but I wanted to replace my income. I came to realise that there was no way I was going to do that if I carried on along the same path.

I spoke to other women who have big dreams – buying their child home or going on a once-in-a-lifetime holiday. And yet, what I found was that they were not taking action. They were maybe working part-time jobs and living week-to-week. Living in la-la-land as it were.

The Fundamentals Of Replacing Your Income With Home Renovations

If you are serious about making money from home renovations, enough to replace your salary, this is what you need to do:

  1. Build a plan
  2. Map out your strategy
  3. Consult with professionals

You could do it on your own, but talking to business professionals can help you maximise the assets that you have. They can help you execute your plan, making your dream a reality.

It Takes Two Years To Create A Renovating Business

Getting your renovations business off the ground takes about two years. This time is required for you to build up a reputation that allows you to take out a loan without having a salary to support it.

If this is the path you have chosen, it is time for you to start taking action and doing the things that will get you there. It may mean working in the evenings to build your plan and map out your strategy. Choosing tiles and paint colours may build your creativity muscles, but it is not going to build a business.

If you take the time to do your homework you will be able to solve your money problems with home renovations.

I have learned so much since beginning the course! … Your course has well and truly paid for itself and that’s only one year of premiums, not to mention how much we will save knowing what we didn’t know previously when we take on our next project. (We are) feeling empowered by the knowledge we have now! So thank you a million times over!

Been through the Bootcamp, Bernadette and Stephen are very caring, pragmatic, great at what they do, and financially savvy. Definitely not the infamous fluffy feel good type of seminar. Of course, these kind of works require lots of on the ground learning. However, having such an experienced and genuinely caring mentor provides lots of support and confidence to get projects up and going, and ultimately building wealth.
