Getting A Glimpse Of The Class Project Progress

The Class Project Progress

The demolition project has now been completed. It ended up being a much bigger job than we anticipated. There was a lot of asbestos and a variation on the scope was needed for that as well.

We’re ready for the builder which turns up next week on the 13th of September. In the meantime, we are trying to make decisions on colours and style particularly for the outside.

It’s really balancing act between doing what everyone else does and maybe doing something that’s going to stand out. I tend to think we probably should be conservative. Because if everyone in that area likes a colour scheme, then it seems crazy to rock the boat.”

Things To Be Done Before Next Week

Here are the things we need to get done:

  • Getting the portaloo on site
Review the quotes and get back to Kerry to organise delivery
  • Complete bathroom measurements for David to finish the bathroom layouts

Class Project Progress: Bathroom Idea

On the walls, we’re going for that Kit-Kat tile style, which is a similar configuration. With smaller bathrooms, we will keep it nice and light. We are undecided about whether to go for brass or brushed nickel tapware.

We are also thinking we could have either an arch or a round mirror with back lighting. In the ensuite, we thought we’d go for wall light. It’s whether to go a bit glitzy with the glass, with the taps or to keep it really subtle.

We’d like to put a colour in the bathroom, but it’s better to go for texture rather than colour.

Next Actions For The Class Project

The layout of the kitchen is ready for quoting and we need to make decisions on light fittings around the style for those feature lights. The mud map was done and we will send it to a couple of cabinet makers. We’ve also been watching the Facebook marketplace and Gumtree to check

I just wanted to touch base and say how incredibly thankful I am that I signed up for your course! I have learned so much since beginning the course! … Your course has well and truly paid for itself and that’s only one year of premiums, not to mention how much we will save knowing what we didn’t know previously when we take on our next project. (We are) feeling empowered by the knowledge we have now! So thank you a million times over!

Been through the Bootcamp, Bernadette and Stephen are very caring, pragmatic, great at what they do, and financially savvy. Definitely not the infamous fluffy feel good type of seminar. Of course, these kind of works require lots of on the ground learning. However, having such an experienced and genuinely caring mentor provides lots of support and confidence to get projects up and going, and ultimately building wealth.
